2021 SURVIVAL GUIDE AND ITINERARY - DEL NORTE COAST REDWOODS SP
DIRECTIONS TO CAMPGROUND
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW NOW or SHOULD KEEP IN MIND…
Hello everyone, review this information as there will be information that will help you with planning for this trip. You can bookmark this page and refer to it at a later date.
For those of you that are new or have camped with us prior years but have not joined us in recent years. THERE WILL BE NO MEALS PROVIDED on this trip. This is a major change from the previous trips, so please plan accordingly. I plan to bring the 3 burner stove and propane tanks and a few portable butane gas stoves. Please bring a few butane canisters if you want to use mine. They can be purchased at Walmart or Big 5.
All campers will be responsible for covering the cost of their own transportation, camping equipment, meals and supplies for the duration of the trip. You can go in with other campers with meals and supplies as well as carpooling which is highly recommended. There are restaurants as well as grocery stores in Crescent City. (Traffic may be heavy and passage limited on the 101 due to damage repairs, this page for hwy information).
Please bring your own meals, drinks, trail snacks/mixes.
Making sure you have all your equipment, if you’re going to borrow equipment from someone, get it a.s.a.p.
Set up your carpool with other campers now.
Carpools are responsible for all their transportation expenses during the trip.
Please help with the person driving you by reimbursing them for the cost of gas, etc…round-trip is about approximately over 1400+ miles (without excursions). Possible 12+ hours drive one-way from LA Valley area
Please make sure you have reliable transportation (car is in shape).
If you are planning to hike, make sure to bring hiking shoes that you've used before and bring nail clippers.
Bring your own bottled water, favorite drinks, and snacks (drinks not provided)
There are toilets and hot showers ($) at our campground.
