REGISTRATION IS CLOSED! Plaskett Creek Campground is located east of the Pacific Coast Hwy (CA 1) in Big Sur, CA approximately 40 miles north of Cambria, CA and 55 miles south of Carmel, CA. It is just south of Sand Dollar Beach Day Use area which is the largest sandy beach in Big Sur. With the Pacific Ocean on the west side, this campground has a park like setting under a scattered canopy of mature Monterey Pines and Monterey Cypress. All sites have grass in them and there is plenty of room for activities. The campground elevation is aprox. 100 above sea level in the Los Padres National Forest. Beach access is within a short walk to Sand Dollar Beach, the largest sandy beach in the Big Sur area. It is a very popular spot for surfing, fishing (fishing permits are required for those over 16), swimming, exploring, sunbathing, etc. The beach is dog friendly as long as they are on a leash and they are cleaned up after. This year's E.D.G.E ministry camping trip will be in Inyo National Forest June 26th to 29th (Saturday to Tuesday). REGISTRATION IS CLOSED! Located in California's beautiful Eastern Sierra, the Inyo National Forest offers clean air, crystal blue skies, mountain lakes and streams, challenging trails, high mountain peaks, and beautiful views. With over two million acres, the Inyo National Forest is home to many natural wonders, including Mt. Whitney, Mono Lake, Mammoth Lakes Basin, and the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, as well as seven Congressionally-designated Wildernesses, comprising over 650,000 acres of land. Agnew Meadows campground , which is located at 8400' elevation, is near the trailhead for the Pacific Crest Trail and John Muir Trails.
